Colt & Serena: A Hysterics Companion Novella (The Hysterics Book 2) - Plot & Excerpts
It was relieving and heartbreaking that Cruz had taken the news about me leaving so well. I knew I would still tattoo on the road here and there, but I had really grown to love Vatican and all the guys I had begun to think of as family. “So how did it go?” Colt was sitting on the couch with beer in my wine trough, slices of my favorite pizza on plates, and Sense and Sensibility waiting on pause right at the opening credits, the name Alan Rickman blaring in fuzzy letters on the screen. “Man, you really pulled out all the stops for this one, babe.” He smiled and helped me with my coat. “I knew this was going to be a hard day, so if I could help make you smile at the end of it, why wouldn’t I? So, the suspense is killing me.” I took a sip of a freshly opened Coors and slumped onto the couch where Colt joined me. “To be honest, I thought he was going to rip my face off, but luckily he didn’t. Cruz took it way better than I was expecting.”
