This is the best way to effectively transmit the history of comic books...with a comic book! The art is simple but not plain, they manage to keep their own style while emulating other artists' techniques where appropriate, and they make the whole process fun both visually and with the writing style.As an aspiring comics writer and artist this book gave me a lot to think about when it comes to how I want to approach my own stories. This book gives great context for a lot of developments and conventions most probably take for granted in comics and in media in general.
