Comme Si C'était Toi (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

YAAAAAWN!If I could give this zero stars, I would. It wasn't funny, it wasn't well written, and the overall message of it was "no one will ever love you if you're fat and ugly, but once you change your life will be amazing!" Oh yay...Not to mention the whining about being bullied in school. You're thirty two for fuck's sake! About time you let things go. *sigh* Anyaway. This was absolutely terrible. It's been a while since I came so close to not finishing a book. Not going to read anything by Mhairi McFarlane again, I believe. Somewhere in between 1.5 to 2 stars. It was okay. Too many useless fodder though. This book made me realise that for someone who has lived in the UK for 9 years:1. I know very little of British slang. 2. Provided that the dialogue in this book truly represents the way Brits speak, my way of talking in real life is far too formal than normal. (Or maybe it's just because I've spent the majority of my education with testosterone bearing individuals whose vocabulary only extended to mathematics and engineering bullshittery.)

What do You think about Comme Si C'était Toi (2014)?

I don't often give books five stars but this was a great read! Can't wait to read more of her books.
