I really enjoyed this book, it's got a very Cold Feet feel about it as it charts the lives of a close knit group of friends 10yrs after Uni.Anyone with a knowledge of Manchester will enjoy the references, I did chuckle with a memory at the mention of Afflecks. There is something very predictable about each episode of this book. The cheating husband, friends for years falling in love, back stabbing colleagues, jealous wives, crumbling marriages, affairs and life long love. Great storylines but none of them a surprise. That said it really didn't take away my enjoyment. I could see it all plotted out before me and I was happy to go along with them. I won't be rushing out to buy the latest book but I certainly won't be throwing this one in the bin either. What do You think about Dal Primo Istante (2012)?
After reading "Me before you" this felt like a downgrade. Kind of like eating great cheese than going in for second's with the processed kind. Hit's the spot but doesn't leave you wanting more. The style of writing and humor was a bit dull and archaic. Did pick up towards the end but I literally had to force myself to get there. Not going to have a lasting impression on me but did make me think slightly nostalgic thinking about carefree uni days. The title's terrible!

Usually, it takes me about a day to read a good book. This book took me six days to read! This book was a disappointment. Two people recommended it to me, so I thought I'd give it a go but I found it quite boring. I had no idea when it was changing tense as it didn't say in the title when it was. I got really confused as well. However, the storyline was good and I enjoyed reading about Rachel and Ben and Mindy and Ivor.
