What an adventure! Mark Gimenez does a fantastic job in developing the characters and the story, and builds up to a brilliant finale. More importantly, it is extremely enlightening in terms of general knowledge and particularly, the oil and gas sector. Thoroughly enjoyed reading it. It gets a bit too idealistic towards the end, where everything falls together like in any movie, but it is definitely worth a read. Mark Giminez is an author I found by accident but I love all of his books. He is compared a lot to John Grisham and this comparison is fair, although I get the sense that if he continues along the same path he has started on, he will surpass Grisham in the future. I'm glad that Book is planned to be a recurring character in future novels - likeable, with just enough mysterious past and roguishness to be intriguing and believable with it. Excellent start to a series.
What do You think about Con Law (2013)?
Another Gimenez bites the dust. Looks like he is setting up a continuing protagonist.

A bit of a boring start but turned out to be a great book.
