Well now this has been a real treat. Being a plus size myself, haven't given much thought to the looks of people in romance novels as being real. I usually just go with my imagination & place myself in the female lead like most women. Having the character of a plus size girl falling for a hot muscle hunk is something that doesn't normally happen, but now that I've had the pleasure I'm looking forward to reading more.Maddy is a nurse & of the curvacious variety. Mike is a cop of the hot muscle variety. They are neighbours & when they meet it's like fireworks. Well fireworks because Maddy gets angry with him & with all her sharp wit & sarcasm, it's quite funny. Mike starts having thoughts of Maddy & their of the hot & sweaty kind. This surprises him, but he really likes Maddy & really likes her curves. Mike had never really thought either way about how people looked, but he was finding that he was very aroused by Maddy.Maddy has a hard time with her famiy, over her being single & not skinny enough to get a man, or so they tell her. Mike doesn't like how she has a low opinion of herself. Together they have a passionate, hot, romantic & lovely relationship. Mike gives her the support & strength she didn't know she was missing.Fantastic book, great story, hot as hell. synopsis:maddy is plus sized, a nurse, and a lover of cats. mike is a big, a cop and could take or leave cats. they are neighbours, but don't meet until maddy tries to rescue a kitten. the attraction and the irritation are immediate. maddy has to learn to trust mike, and mike learns to admire maddy and all that she's been through.what i liked: mike was sweet and very gentle, whether with the kitten he didn't want or with maddy. the story took place over a period of time, not just a couple of weeks, so the build in the relationship was believable.what i didn't like: the carelessness of the two main characters. they are a nurse and a policeman respectively; they should know about unprotected sex. i can barely understand one time with no protection, but two times? yeah, no.
