AN ABSOLUTE LOVE STORY Harry is poor. His best friend Adam is a duke. And he is a very wealthy duke. They have been friends since Harrow. Adam, in spite of the appearance of being a bully, has taken responsibility for his wife, Persephone’s family. In spite of his grumpy persona, Adam loves each member of his new family. The new responsibilities include presenting his sister-in-law, Athena to society.Since Adam does not feel comfortable being social, he has asked Harry to take over the job of controlling the presentation of suitors. Harry has been in love with Athena since their first meeting. Harry’s plan is to introduce gentlemen who would not suit at all. He wants Athena to be happy but he wants her to realize there are qualities which will not be attractive in a future husband. This is a very well written story. Ms Eden has created sexual attraction and tension without including anything more than holding hands. The plot is easy to follow from scene to scene and each event makes the reader anticipate the next event.Harry, Athena, Adam and Persephone are witty and humorous human beings. Their conversations present ideas and observations that are both entertaining and informative. And as the book progresses, we see each of them as well rounded and complete in their humanity.I love the humor of the story. It is evident that Adam’s bark is much worse than his bite. He is as important a character in the story as Harry and Athena. The secondary characters are wonderful in helping to create an atmosphere. Each new suitor has a superficial trait that Athena listed as important. But, we learn that an exaggerated character trait can make all the difference.I truly enjoyed the fact that this is such a tender story. There are no heaving bosoms, but a great amount of kindness and affection. If you enjoy a true love story that includes people who care very deeply for one another, this is a book you will love. There are many pictures of love in the story and each of them is enchanting. Enjoy the journey. I hate to admit this but I had never even heard of Sarah Eden until I stumbled upon this book by chance. I started reading this book and finished it in a day. I really enjoyed it. I loved that this wasn't just a romance novel but that is also showcased the friendship of two best friends Adam and Harry. I thought the book was witty and very charming. I am excited to go back and read Seeking Persephone now!
