Read by MM Good Book Reviews:This is book two in this series and they need to be read in order. Not only is it easier to understand the characters and their world, but it is a lot better. This is an amazing series and I am so glad to have it in my library. Lynn always gives you guys that you will fall in love with. She has an amazing gift to give you a story that you can loose yourself in. Noah has always wanted Jed, the problem was Jed would not even give him an inch.Noah has grown up in Lamont's Trailer park, but it is a nightmare for him. It is drug-infested and ran by a cruel dealer. When he sees something he shouldn't have it places him in danger, a danger that could get him killed. Here he is in danger and wanting a man that doesn't want him Jed does want Noah, he is just scared to get hurt again. It seems strange that a big bear would be scared of anything in his life but to be hurt again will always bring a big man down. When Noah is hurt by the dealer Jed brings him back to the ranch to keep his mate safe. However when one night makes him think that maybe he was wrong in to thinking that Noah was not his mate Jed realizes that love will over come all odds. I love the fact that their mates become pregnant when they mate. It tells me that there is a god, to let a man get pregnant and go through labor. I love the humor in it. This is an amazing series and I can not wait to get my hands on the next book. It gives you everything that you can ask for in a story. It has well not only the humor, but it has the pain that they feel when they think they are loosing the ones they love. If you love the paranormal world, two very hot men, passion and fire, terror, danger, excitement and a bit of adventure then you will love this book. I love Lynn Hagen. I love her stories and I feel like I can usually count on her to deliver a quality good read. I loved book one, Cowboy Love, and was looking forward to book two but I felt rather disappointed with Cowboy Heart in the end. I am writing this review to honestly communicate why this story did not work for me. I had two issues with this story. The biggest issue was with Jed and Noah separating because they thought they were not mates. Basically Jed chose the possible chance of having children over a life with Noah. Even after Noah discovered that he was pregnant, he waited for months before contacting Jed to let him know. I really couldn’t fathom a reasonable excuse for that behavior. This just reinforced my feelings that neither character was truly in love or committed to each other. My second issue was with the bad guy Devil just randomly showing up at the end of the novel. Jed ended up killing Devil and calling the sheriff to let him know. This section of the story was barely developed and very poorly integrated into the rest of the story. I felt that this was just the tying up of a loose end.Overall, I felt that there was no editorial input into the writing process. Sometimes it is hard for the writer to spot the problems and to see that another round of revision is needed. I hope the editorial staff will take the time to go over the remaining stories in the series and address any glaring issues before releasing them to the public.
What do You think about Cowboy Heart (2014)?
If I wanted to read about pregnant characters, I'd be reading mf.
