What had she done? What had they done? She’d given in to a part of her that still craved Dodge, and loved him dearly. Making love had seemed natural, the thing to do between two people consumed with need. Lifting her fingers to her lips, they were still swollen from his kisses and she had chafing on her chin from the grazing of his beard. Her hair was tangled and her inner thighs ached, pleasantly. Laying back into the pillow, she dragged the blanket up around her partially naked body, hoping to ease the quivering in her muscles. Blowing out a ragged breath, she closed her eyes. Nothing good could come from what they’d just shared. It would only make it tougher for her to ask for his signature that would bring their ten-year union to an end. Why didn’t she have the strength to deny him? Why could he always bring out a raw need within her?
