Exactly what I needed right now. Somewhat shamefully, my only experience with Storm as a Portlander for 17 years was when she sang on a booze cruise at a friend's Christmas party. But she sang The Star Spangled Banner, to the music of Pusher Man, in a Jessica Rabbit dress. So, really, I've always thought she fuckin' rocked. Great story. I love a tale of someone who's always up for it, whatever it happens to be. This memoir was one of the most hard-hitting things I have ever read. Enclosed is the brutal and devastating truth that causes a lingering effect on the reader. It's an all-round experience though, and is not all tragic. I found myself laughing out loud as I read this book full of twists and turns and I enjoyed the ride through a powerful rock 'n' roll experience.Yesterday I had no idea who Storm Large was. Today I would describe her as a magnificent woman that has gained my undying respect.
What do You think about Crazy Enough: A Memoir (2012)?
A great book that honestly portray's a woman's struggle with her mother's mental illness.

Crude, bold and badassed but a very compelling read.
