The first half of this story is much better than the last. Unfortunately, it all went downhill for me from the first kiss. I felt the slow build to that moment was wonderful. I really liked the characters although they weren't as developed or deep as I'd have liked. I wish I had connected to them more deeply. But after the first kiss the relationship just went ahead way too quickly it was unbelievable and rushed. Very, very rushed considering it took almost two thirds of the book to get to the first kiss. I managed to get through to the end but even after the big "I love you" moment I didn't really care. I actually skipped that whole scene because the tension was already gone and I had little interest in the scene. The Epilogue was nice but also left me wanting. I ended the book feeling unfulfilled and dissatisfied which just makes me sad. Straight to faves!!!! I am a sucker for cowboys, now cowboys out in Montana & a city boy with a family, this was just too good to pass up. I'm glad I finally got around to reading it!Jay is lost in the NYC metropolis and he ends up taking the whole family to the Crooked Tree. Boy, oh, boy. This story had it all and somehow, it totally worked. Definitely recommended for the avid MM reader, especially if cowboys & city marketing boys are your thing. ;)
