For me this book didn't have the same impact as the Promises to Keep series, although some of the characters from that story made their appearance here. I wondered if the author couldn't bear to let Amy go, and this was a way to keep her, although switching to a new main character. The problem for me was that Daisy didn't have anything like the difficulties Amy was faced with, and so the story fell a little flat.Nevertheless, Shayne Parkinson's writing is always a pleasure to read and I did enjoy revisiting the characters and the setting. I'm sure I won't be able to resist if she does decide to continue Daisy's story! This book is the last in the Promises To Keep-The series was great. I found myself unable to put the books down. I got the first one as a free book from Amazon and bought the rest of the series when I finished the first book. This series tells how women were allowed to be treated and the hardships of living in the middle 1800's to the early 1900's. I am hoping that there will be a followup on this book.
I was a little disappointed, I expected it to be as good as the other 4, but it's lacking.

Couldn't finish. It was like reading a book for 8 year olds and the story moved too slow.
