Whilst I do enjoy Ursula's quirky humour and her delightful illustrations, I did not enjoy this story as much as the earlier ones. Maybe because of the share ludicricty of being bitten by a hotdog and then developing fur - hotdogs don't have fur! Anyway, it's a hoot - with some outrageously crazy moments - including giant potato salads and hoards of rats, so I imagine it shall be most appreciated by the younger audience it is intended for. This one came with a strong recommendation (from my nephew). There wasn't really any sort of moral to it or anything but it was pretty good. If I was in elementary school and I had the same desire for reading that I do now (which isn't much but it was non-existant for me when I actually was in elementary school), I would most likely have read it if it was recommended and had any explanation to it.
