I absolutely love John Corwin's writing style. It is just hysterical. Had me laughing all the way through out.The story was better thought out in this book and executed a lot more smoothly too.Justin was as funny as ever; self loathing without being annoying but a lot more confident this go around. Elyssa is still a little stuck up for my liking but she redeems herself a little as she did pull the stick out of her ass just a wee bit.I adore Stacey, she just makes me laugh. I enjoyed all the new additions to Justin's crew in this book, they do make for an entertaining read. I am really looking forward to reading the next book, if not just for the laughs. What a day and with a to-do list that won’t end! Escape from rogue vampires – check! Huh? Become the bone of contention between the previous fantasy girl of your dreams (Katie) and the current fantasy girl of your dreams (Elyssa) – check! Whoa. Follow the wishes of the mother that abandoned you or the father that insists your time together has reached an end – check! Wait, what? Escape from hell-hounds – check! Huh? How? It’s just another waking day in Justin Case’s new reality.Once again Mr. Corwin gives us a fun and action packed story from Justin’s point of view and throws in a pretty cover at no extra charge. This time around things move even more quickly as Justin adapts to his new existence; makes new friends; discovers new creatures and; works on his familial dysfunction as he works himself in and out of bizarre situations. As a reader I am enjoying discovering the fascinating and frightening creatures along with Justin and am anxious for the next installment. It is just not easy being Demon spawn.
