Writing was good enough. I just can't get over the new obsession with not completing a story. It seems like they are just trying to get you to buy the next in the series, when in reality, the second book should be part of the first book. I believe a story has a plot line: beginning, middle and end. If the plot of the story is not finished, then neither is the book. If this plot line had been finished, I would have bought the next book. I really enjoyed this book which a story of a young witch who is destined to be primus of he clan but will only have the strength and power to do only if she meets her consort or soul mate before her 21st birthday. A rival clan named Wilcox are doing whatever they can to ensure that her power is transferred to their clan. This is a well written book that will keep you reading to the end and then have you downloading book 2 as soon as you have finished.
Really enjoyed it. I wish I knew more of what is going on, but it was a fun start to this world.
