Mo has lived her entire ten years on a short dead end street with her father and little sister. (Mom is dead.) Her best friend comes every summer to stay with her grandmother across the street from Mo. Mo loves it here and is hoping to one day actually see the fox that the street is named for. Her dad, however, is thinking of selling out to a developer and fulfilling his dream of opening a restaurant with the proceeds. Boredom ensues. One of the most perfect children's chapter books I've read in a long time. I knew immediately from the very beginning of the story, that I was going to love this. The author paints such an accurate touching perspective of childhood, honing in on the anxiety that comes with growing up and watching the world open up around you as you start to understand things more. Sweet simplicity starts to slip away...Beautifully written, sweet, spunky, funny. I loved it.

great book but not to much drama in my opinion but kids 10 and under would love this book.
