I get frustrated with people who try and make this all "Twilight" and pick Team Puck or Team Ash. It's not about that! That out of the way, I really liked this story because it showed Puck and Ash working together and you get to see some of the teamwork that used to be a part of their lives when they were friends. Oberon shows his true feelings when he tries to convince Puck to turn on Ash so he can have Meghan. I would be so upset with Puck if he did that. Meghan made a choice and it needs to be respected. Puck and Ash are on a quest to repay a favor by stealing a "violin" from Titania. We get to see more of the trickster side of Puck as they move through the Fey world. I have to admit that I thought Puck had betrayed Ash at one point, but he showed his trickster genius! Not a long story, but a fun transition story, which got me excited for the next book. OMG... While I enjoyed Winter's Crossing, I LOVED Summer's Crossing! This is PERFECTION! Summer's Crossing occurs between the Iron Queen and the Iron Knight books and is told from Puck's POV. I have to admit that since I'm in love with Prince Ash, I've not been that fond of Puck as he competes with Ash for Meghan's heart. This short story actually made me like and empathize with Puck much more. (but I'm still Team Ash :-)))Meghan is now the Iron Queen and Ash cannot be with her as he cannot tolerate the iron due to his fae nature. While Ash and Puck are searching for Grim to begin their journey to hopefully allow Ash to renounce his fairy nature so he can be with Meghan, the Between Queen calls in a favor from Ash. Ash is tasked with retrieving a violin that Titiana, the Summer Queen, has stolen from her. Ash cannot do this w/o Puck's help and Puck steps up to the plate royally. I'm still amazed at how this played out... with twists and turns and humor galore! IF you are a fan of the Iron Fey series, you MUST read this! IF you haven't read the Iron Fey series, read it 1st! You won't be sorry! EXCELLENT!5 FANTASTIC STARS!
What do You think about De Overtocht - Zomer (2013)?
Meh. I found Puck's voice to be annoying and immature. Also, it sounded too forced. Annoying.
