Dead By Midnight - Pengakuan Dosa Sang Aktris (2011) - Plot & Excerpts
The story is okay...but the way it was carried out doesn't compare. The characters have major flaws that I couldn't really get past. ALL of them have a habit of changing their minds ALL the time. It's more annoying than it is interesting to the story. I also found the descriptions of the porno flicks and of the other sex parts far too graphic. This is meant to be a crime book, right? Those who are into the romance book scene might not enjoy this, and those who are into crime books might not be that into romance. I'm not particularly into either genre, so the blending of the two was just too much for me. Sure some descriptions of the nudity and the porno flick are probably necessary, but there was no need for Barton to go so into detail so often. I doubt I'll read more of this series. This was the first book I read by Beverly Barton and I was very impressed with it. I'm not a huge fan of romance novels but I will admit that after reading this book, I can't wait to read the other two books in this trilogy. I just have to know why Maleah hates Lawrence AND I need to know what's in Griff's past that is so bad its costing him his employess. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves psychological thrillers.
