Whatever I say about this book, it will not do it justice. It's that great. I don't even know where to begin.... As usual, I went into this book blind. Not knowing anything about it. Wow! I did not know what I was in for. The subject matter is rough. It has rape, abuse and violence. But do not make that scare you away. It's a fantastic story about two women and their lives... how their paths cross and how their lives become forever entwined. They were dealt very different hands. Each broken for different reasons. Neither one thinking they could ever be fixed. My heart ached for both of them. Oh my God what they have gone through. Their trials and tribulations. I commend Trudy for bringing their sensative stories to life. We see two different sides of a heart-wrenching journey. To say I was a blubbering mess is an understatement. Tears and snot running down my face...(I would have to be sitting on a train going to work! How embarrassing). It's a beautifully tragic story that is filled with despair, hope, love and strength. It is unique and very realistic. Written so well, I felt as if the story was happening to me. What a rollercoaster of emotions. My poor heart. I am exhausted. This book hit me on a personal level and I am better for reading it. Trudy Stiles, thank you for bringing us this amazing story and it's dramatic subject matter to light. I jumped right into the second book, Dear Tabitha... I'm only a few pages in and I can tell this book is going to have the same effect on me. I implore you to read these books. Every woman should.....Whatever you do Trudy just keep writing!!! I loved this book! I jumped into it, without knowing what it was about. I had heard a few things along the way, but to be honest when I picked it up, I didn't remember anything about it and I prefer that way...I like the surprises! And what a surprise it was! I love reading stories with different POV. This story goes back and forth to tell the life events of the main characters - Carly and Tabitha. Both stories are heart breaking and we just can't stop reading! The way both stories interconnect is perfect! I am NOT giving details away, but I do advise people to read this beautiful heart breaking story!Moving on to the second book!!
