This book blew away any expectation I had for this series. Jude Watson has really outdone herself with this one. The title "Death on Naboo" really turned me off at first (I'm very bad about judging books by their covers), but the cover art more than compensated for any reservations I had, and the story itself had me chewing my nails down to stubs, especially towards the end of the book. The showdown between Olin and Malorum came much sooner in this series than expected, but is a testament to Watson wanting to move the story along, and not being afraid to sacrifice the potential to drag certain characters and storylines out for the sake of capitalizing on them. And in this case, it serves to tell a better story.
