I received this as a free book and I have to say after having read it that I would have definitely paid for it. I enjoyed the fact that it was an otherworldly book with unique characters. I absolutely adored Houdini the "dust bunny" who sounded super cute. I almost wish that I had one of my own. I enjoyed watching the relationship between Drake and Alice unfold as they realized how strong their feelings toward one another. This book definitely held my interest until the very last page. I highly recommend it! Alice North has a rare light talent. She was almost attacked by two men but between her talent and a man shooting the men, she was saved. The man is Drake Sebastian. He needs her to help him on Rainshadow Island, where Alice's first husband tried to kill her only to be killed himself. His mother has been after her ever since. She needs protection from her mother-in-law. Drake will help her. They enter into a marriage of convenience. They manage to get to the island but find that it is going crazy. Will they be able to stop what is happening there before the psi blows it up? Will Alice and Drake fall in love and stay married? Will ALice find out who killed her first husband and get her mother-in-law off her back?I enjoyed this story. I wish I could see what Rainshadow Island looks like.
