Demon Mistress (2009) - Plot & Excerpts

Back to the vampire sister Menolly. She is sleeping with a female werepuma. Flirting with Roz who is a mercenary incubus cursed I think by Hera or Zeus. And flirting with Vanzir who is a dream chaser demon they sort of rescued from Karvanak and is now bound to them. Again lots of action. New demon general in town but they don't actually find her yet - just rumors. They are investigating the disappearance of the Fae who was in charge of the bar before they came to earth - Sabele.Wilbur is the new neighbor - and a necromancer with a pet ghoul. This series just has so many characters. Although menolly is my least favorite of the sisters I really enjoyed this book. I like that the whole book wasn't centered on one huge battle at the very end that it was building up for. I also like that the side characters such as Smoky are getting more developed. As the books progress, the story is really starting to come together and the characters are starting to have personalities on their own. I'm not a big fan of the lack of monogamy between all the lovers, but they is so much going on in the back story that's it is really easy to accept.
