Dia Dos Namorados Sr. E Sra. Maddox (2000) - Plot & Excerpts
Mrs. Maddox is a short story about Travis and Abby's relationship after a year of marriage, technically speaking a year. This story is adorable and heart-clenching. Somehow, I had wished for the story to be longer because I am honestly curious on their relationship now. However, I am also glad it was this short of a story. I hadn't had the best time reading Walking Disaster thus if this story had been longer, I would most probably enjoy it lesser too. Mrs. Maddox is a five-page story about Travis and Abby’s first Valentine’s Day. I had mixed feelings about the course of their relationship and the amount of books that followed Beautiful Disaster. I haven’t read Beautiful Wedding and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to read this story but it can be read on Jamie’s website (I can’t add a link, otherwise I had) and it’s just five pages, so why not?Mrs. Maddox is a sweet story and if you’re a fan of this couple I would recommend you read it, but I am still a little skeptic about the Travis and Abby-universe. If you’ve read Walking Disaster you know where they’ll stand ten years from now, so why keep giving us short stories? When it’s done, it’s done. I have the feeling Jamie can’t say goodbye to them. Beautiful Wedding and Beautiful Oblivion are on my to read-lists but I’m not sure whether I’m actually going to read them.
