Die Auserwählten-Trilogie: Exklusive E-Box (2013) - Plot & Excerpts
I'm going to try not to go on a really long critical rant about this poorly written series. I bought the books after going to the movie and realizing that I had no idea what was really going on. The books did, of course, provide the answer but at the cost of agonizing Bruce-Willis-Die-Hard type action-packed narrative. The best way to describe these books is like a graphic novel without the pictures. Yeah, think about it and then save yourself the pain. A load of klunk. Questions are left unanswered, Minho has a ridiculously limited vocabulary, and there are inconsistencies never addressed. I read to the end of the trilogy hoping it would "all come together", but it didn't. Dashner's characters did a lot of "rolling their eyes" next to people's "lifeless bodies", and the entire premise of the books just seemed to be completely avoidable if people had thought a bit more. Some occurrences were also fairly predictable.

I enjoyed this series. It was suggested because I read hunger games. Neat idea to a story.
