Dinosaur is back to face new challenges as he goes to school. He wins at things that most children new to school will face such as making new friends, playing dress up, making art, and eating new snacks. In the end he also learns about cleaning up, which goes faster when his new friends help. The mixed media illustrations are definitely the star of this fun picture book for preschoolers. The fervor in which Dinosaur attacks school shows in the bold type face and his cheeky reptile like grin. Children will ask to read this again and again committing to memory the story and teachers will appreciate the cleaning up message. The picture book will appeal to children 3-7 years of age.I would recommend this book for purchase for any school or public library. This book was provided by the publisher for review by SWON Libraries. RAWR! I am a sad dino! I love this series so much, I can't help but be disappointed when a new title fails to thrill. D vs School is cute, don't get me wrong. We see dino in some great art and making new friends, but he isn't really versus school, he's just . . . going. Dino is at his best when he's actually against something. Mud puddles, talking grownups, those types of things. So yes, RAWR! I am sad.
What do You think about Dinosaur Vs. School (2014)?
Perfect if you're having a hard time driving home the "clean up" concept.
