First time I've read this author; story flows well, even with all the character introductions...I do NOT normally read paranmormal books...but if the story line follows wolves then yes I will...Strong dominant male characters are always impressive and when they are mated with strong female characters you just know the story is gonna be good..from my understanding this is book one, so now I must go off and search for the other 2 in the series; well done Ms Tyler, I was impressed!! I have to admit, I thought the first chapter was ridiculous. I love mate bond pairings, but I honestly need a little more introduction to at least half of the pair to be interested. This book jumped right in with the lead male walking into a bar, exchanging a few words with the lead female and throwing her over her shoulder and walking out with her - all while telling the reader how he's never been interested in a human before and that it's totally out of character. How about giving us a few chapter of intro to these lead where we see his total disinterest in humans instead of just telling us about it? After that first chapter I just couldn't take the rest of the book seriously, especially when we started getting characters with names like "Vice" and "Jinx", which already descriptive a of the character as well as what they're called. The writing itself wasn't bad, but the story was not my thing.
What do You think about Dire Needs (2012)?
Great book. Can't wit to read about the rest of the pack.
