Navy SEALS: Entführt (2011) - Plot & Excerpts

Tyler desperately attempts to channel Suzanne Brockmann, and fails (despite lifting a few plotlines from the Troubleshooters novels). Good thing she covered her bases by making this cross-genre : it's a Navy Seal!/paranormal!/femmejeop!/Cajun bayou boy! romance... Eyeroll inducing in its badness, and not even worth reading in the bathtub. That she managed to eke a deal for a series out of a publisher is simply mind boggling. Jake Hansen rescues Isabelle Markham out of Africa after she is kidnapped by her supposed bodyguard. Upon her return to the US, she starts working as a doctor at the base where Jake is stationed. He is called on by her uncle to keep an eye on her. Needless to say, he eventually has more than his eye on her.I'm excited to have found Stephanie Tyler as an author because I really love her books. Her series with Larissa Ione (as Sydney Croft) rate as some of my favourites. This one is excellent too. Her characters have always had to suffer with difficulties in life, often more than most romance heroes and heroines, and she makes their struggles believable and something you honestly care about. You find yourself eager for them to come together, to get past their issues and find true happiness. This really was a great book and I look forward to reading the next one.
