Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles Of A Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian (2014) - Plot & Excerpts

Not for the faint of heart, Bob Saget embraces his sophomoric side to the fullest in this autobiography, but he could have used a more judicious editor.I think everyone has had that moment where they discover that wholesome Danny Tanner, that guy from the home video show, actually has an incredibly raunchy stand-up act. This book explores both sides of his career, and there's quite a lot of interesting stuff in it, and the stream-of-consciousness style of writing is mostly welcoming, but Saget can't help but through in a dick or poop joke every few paragraphs. If you heard his interview on the Nerdist podcast, this is pretty similar. It's like he's afraid he'll lose the audience if he keeps writing straight through for a whole page, and while those dirty asides are generally funny, the schtick gets a bit old.But what about Full House? He covers it with a fond and fatherly/protective look back at his co-stars, but his desire to distance himself from it is barely hidden (and in a few cases not at all). There are some good stories from the set, but don't go in expecting a tell-all.If you have an aversion to raunchy humor, this book is not to going to work out for you. If you are a 14-year-old boy, you will love this. If you're curious about Bob Saget, give it a shot. I grew up knowing Bob Saget as "Danny Tanner," and did not realize he had this dirty/critic side. I guess like John Stamos, from reading this I think this is the one role that made him but of course he hates being reminded of...a bit disappointed in the book...it was so random and way to many penis references..find it hard that they actually published it....but did show me a different side and some history of Bob.

What do You think about Dirty Daddy: The Chronicles Of A Family Man Turned Filthy Comedian (2014)?

Ugh. Why did I do this to myself? This book is the opposite of what I like.
