Her hair was just barely tangled, loosely covering her pillow as she kissed me again. “Yeah,” I said, unable to say anything else. I couldn’t believe I was here. After the shower we laid together on the bed, holding each other and staring at the ceiling. I couldn’t believe this was the woman I saw putting firecrackers in another girl’s locker. I couldn’t believe this was the woman I saw on the movie screen.
