This is a book about the state of science today. As is the nature of these things, some of the theories are more deep, more elegant and more beautiful than others. The stand out entries, however, really do jolt the system with wonder and the book as a whole is like a shot in the arm of reason and objectivity. It is a workout for the intelligence and a primer for current thinking. It's also fun showing people the cover. I suspect that the editor arranged this book by simply pasting the responses to his question, in the order in which they arrived in his inbox, and pasting them into a single document. There seems to be zero thought put into the arrangement of this book: the essays are not ordered by subject, nor the authors' last name, nor even the essays' titles. Some of the essays are even good, but the effect is negated by the laziness of the editing. As individual essays, there is some value here; as a whole, the book is mismanaged, sloppy and ultimately frustrating.
What do You think about Dit Verklaart Alles (2013)?
Doesn't explain everything, just random explanations. Still quite good

Great book. Gives fresh perspectives on known scientific theory.
