Super cute book about a dog who reads "Puss in Boots." He gets the idea that he should have marvelous boots just like the ones in the story. He goes to the shoe shop and gets a pair of boots. Unfortunately, the boots are not good for digging. They got too dirty. So he goes back to the shop, where he gets a pair of rain boots. The rain boots are great for digging, but not for swimming. He goes back to the shop and gets swimming flippers. The story keeps going, he gets new shoes after new shoes, until finally he realizes that his paws are the best "shoes" for him. Dog in Boots is a very entertaining story about a dog who just wants to have boots like the cat from one of his favorite boots. He goes to the shoe store to see if they have any boots that might fit, and to Dog’s surprise they have the perfect pair. But soon Dog finds out that they are not so useful for digging so he goes back to the shop and asks for something that might work better and the owner comes out with a pair of rain boots. Soon however, Dog realizes that he will need multiple pairs of shoes for different activities. He goes to the shoe store one last time and asks the owner if he has something that works for all activities. The shop owner says, of course and that Dog had them all along. Perfect for young kids, this book incorporates other stories and is an easy read for beginners.
