The book starts out with an engaging and shocking scene. You think that it's going to be full of suspense, but no, it does not go on like that. Not being a native English reader, it is hard for me to appreciate more or less the style of writing, but here, it seemed to me that the style was off.And towards the end, the very closing and tying all threads, it happened almost as if the writer had been in a hurry. Really a let-down. Money, power, politics and corruption rule the world. But one inspector doesn't want to play by those rules. They try to divert him, discredit him, kill him, they even kill his brother although he committed suiced. He goes on in his search for the truth. There are a lot of short chapters, like books of Patterson. He wrote several books together with Patterson and it shows. Not a book with deep characters, but nice to read.
What do You think about Dont Look Twice (2000)?
Corruption story of two brothers who take different paths in life, wasn't an enjoyable read.
