Trent had him in the morning. He woke Lester up early and barely gave him time to eat breakfast before taking him to the library and sitting a huge set of books in front of him. “What’s this?” Lester asked, sneezing from the dust. Some of those books looked to be over a hundred years old. Others appeared to be hanging on by just the threads of their bindings, while a few looked to be brand new. Lester gazed at the spines, noting that some of them weren’t even written in English, but Elvish and other abstract languages that Lester didn’t even come close to speaking. “These are the few books that I was able to round up on the subject of magic. I wish I could get more, but since I’m a fugitive, my resources are a bit limited.” Trent gave a tight smile. Lester could see how Duncan could be attracted to the sorcerer. With dark brown hair and deep blue eyes, he was alluring enough. But he isn’t cute and impish like Mick. Lester sighed. No, nobody came close to his dragon and he didn’t think they ever would.
