Well, that was a bit of fun, albeit with a little more substance than a lot of such books. There's something to be said for honest skepticism on one's spiritual journeys. This book is Judith Lucy's companion to her tv series "Judith Lucy's Spiritual Journey". It goes into a lot more detail than the series was able to, and lets you know what was going through her mind when she made it. A good fun read even if you haven't seen the series, but better if you have. I'm a big fan of Judith's comedy shows so when I picked this up I was expecting a good laugh. It was very different to how I imagined it, dealing with many more serious topics and incidences than I was expecting. I think maybe her humour doesn't translate as well in prose as it does live, with much of the humour coming off as sharp and bitter when written down. But while it wasn't as funny as I was expecting, or very conclusive in it's message (there wasn't really one) it was fascinating, both her career, and personal journey and reflection. I recommend it as a good read but not necessarily a barrel full of laughs.
