I loved this book. Drake was awesome. Definitely a flawed hero - tortured past, questionable criminal activity, not the standard tall, dark and dreamy physique. But I loved him - his single-minded focus on Grace, his love for her, his protectiveness, his desire to simply take care of her in all ways - wow. Grace "accepted" the situation with him a little too quickly, but overall their love story was well done and the sex was hot! This would have made my keeper shelf if I hadn't already traded the first two books! This story was different from the others in the series in that the hero, Drake, wasn’t honorable for the things he achieved or the way he lived his life, but for who he was … with Grace. He was tender and sweet and passionate and generous. He cared for her and treated her like she was a priceless gift. It was touching and comical to see the tough, dominant man find his heart in the sweet, intelligent Grace. Their journey wasn’t without obstacles, but it was sexy and entertaining the entire way.I truly enjoyed this series. It is definitely a favorite of mine.

3.5/5; 4 stars; B+Lisa Marie Rice has really improved her skills as a writer since the first books I read by her. I really enjoyed this book. It was a good romantic suspense with lots of both components. In her earlier books I sometimes sensed a bit too much focus below the waist on the part of the male protagonist and it got in the way of the story. This was a nice addition to the 'Dangerous' trio.
