Is it bad that my engagement to the premise of this novel faltered under my desire to see a sexual encounter with Janet and Nash? Yes. That's terrible. Because the story was on the surface, trying to shove my attention towards it. I just found it to be boring quite honestly. The first book was better to me, I guess it was because I was new to the paranormal genre. Now that I am somewhat familiar, Mick became cardboard; Janet was uninteresting; the magic mirror was annoying; and the story was not that great. Janet is getting more familiar with her beneath powers. Mick has a dragon trial coming up. Nash Jones is on a murder investigation. Only saving grave for me was Nash Jones and Maya -- least they seemed like they had some personalities. If only Nash and Janet could have -- never mind. If you want to have a good continuation of the first book you won't be disappointed. 4 stars. Liked this one just as much as the first if not more. Janet's mother has been taken care of but there is still the dragons to contend with. Janet makes some new friends and gets into more trouble. Janet and Mick are an interesting couple and it's always fun to see how much trouble Janet can get into with Nash. Secondary characters are interesting and help to build the story nicely leaving a lot of room to grow and expand.
What do You think about Durch Das Feuer (2012)?
Wow! Janet's powers are growing! A twisty turney read with lots of action!
