Finding a guy who has read the First Comes Love series by Katie Kacvinsky and who absolutely loves it will be the day I'll get married. Haha! I love, LOOVE the books so much and I find myself rereading them a couple of times. They just never get old for me and continue to give me "feels" when I read them. I adore Gray and Dylan because they are such real persons with real life issues. Their love story, though not perfect, is something to be admired. They bring the best out of each other. First Comes Love is the first book the the First Comes Love series. It focuses on two young teenagers, Dylan who is an adventurous girl who doesn't care what others think of her, and Gray, who has spent the last bit of his life trying to not let his emotions swallow him whole.I adore this book. I wasn't hesitant about it at first because I hadn't really delved into the world of New Adult books yet. I had done YA and Adult but never the in between. I was definitely expecting some sort of stereotypical romantic love story. The kind where they have some trivial problems but everything is all roses, rainbows and unicorns. That was NOT this book. I was so incredibly proud of Kacvinsky for portraying relationships as they are, flawed, hard and sometimes no matter how hard they try, they might fall apart. Gray and Dylan's relationship address many issues like tearing down walls, learning to trust others, long distance relationships and even what happens when two opposites fall in love. I really appreciated the fact that Dylan was a "I don't care what you think" kind of girl and encouraged Gray to stop concerning himself with what others thought of him and just live his life.I would definitely recommend this book and I can't wait to pick up the next books in the series!
