I simply love whatever Leslie Meier writes. Whenever I am in a reading slump I pick up one of her books and I feel like I am back with old friends. I love the quaint little town that Leslie has built and charming characters that reside there. I have never read the books in order and I really don't think that you have to, you know these people like they are family. This book had some more twists and turns that previous books by Meier but I loved it just the same. This book started off well, but lost a lot of steam in the middle. The story just kind of wandered around and the author had some totally unrelated story lines that did not contribute to the plot at all. What was the point of the grown daughter's appendicitis & appendectomy? And the ending was a bit hoaky. However, for some reason, I did enjoy it - I think because I liked the lead character, Lucy Stone, a small town reporter, and I would try others before giving up on this series
What do You think about Easter Bunny Murder (2013)?
Fun easy read. It reminds me of Joanne Fluke books, which I love.

Light, a little silly and over the top but fun and fast to read.
