Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey (2014) - Plot & Excerpts
Beautiful artwork and fast and exciting read. Ed is one of those artists that is grounded despite his overwhelming success. If you're a fan already, this is definitely a journey you want to go on (pun intended). If you're one of those people that has heard a few of his songs, proceed with caution as this will make you fall head over heels in love with him and his struggle to be where he is today. I cannot give this enough stars. Furthermore, the artwork included by friend Philip Butah will blow you away. The stories behind each piece are also included and are equally amazing. READ. THIS. that is all. This is a perfect book for new-born artists. Especially for people who dream about doing art for living but can't actually start doing it, whether because of laziness or whatever it could be, which, I'm sad to say, is my case. I've never been a big fan of Ed, I have a few of his songs which I think are really cool but I never went further than that with his music. But you don't have to be a fan to enjoy this book, just being art and music lover is more than enough if you decide to give it a go and discover his amazing journey to the top, from and independent artist to world famous star, from a poor singer/guitar player/songwriter to the artist who collaborates with likes of Elton John and Pharrell Williams, from a pub singer to a sold-out Madison Square Garden act. Thank you for the book, Ed Sheeran. It was a pleasure to read you.
