This was offered for free from iBooks. It's a fun, very quick read (it probably took me ten minutes to read at the most), but it's enjoyable. It makes you want to see more from these characters, which is probably the point of them being offered for free. Intended for a pretty young audience, but still something fun for an adult to read quickly.I loved this story most of all of them. I liked how Ashlynn and Hunter's personalities meshed so well even though they have never met. These are making me want to read the full books even though I am much too old for these. Shannon Hale knows how to pull you into a story! This very short story wasn't really so much a story but a character introduction. We are introduced to Ashlynn, daughter of the beloved Cinderella. Ashlynn is friends with all the woodland creatures, a vegan, and must do chores in preperation of her own fairy tale story. One day while helping her animal friends, she hears them describe how a man is making bird houses for the creatures. That is where it ends?!?!? After some digging I see there is going to be an Ever After High book with all the daughter and sons of the fairy tale charcters. I am glad to see that but I wish this would of had a little more to it then just 12 pages of this quick intro.
backstory: she dreams of loggers (or just an outdoors type of guy), but has to marry a prince. :-(

Lets ignore the fact that mom's death is eminent while obsessing over boys. Yeah, that'll work.

cute, more suited for a pre teen, younger girl, but adorable.
