This book is just as good as the first one; Awaken the Highland Warrior. This story takes place right after the first book ends. The fight against demons and their minions is not over but that is not even the biggest issue. This book introduces us to Shay who is having difficulties in her own life. Coming home was her way of getting perspective and it doesn't take long for her to see things in a whole new way. So pick up the continuation of a warrior tale and find out what can happen when you bring your issues home. I can't tell you how hard it was to put this book down!! i didn't want to stop reading. Again Anita Clenney captured my attention with the Connor Clan. I love when books bring back familiar characters and make you feel part of the family. This book did just that. Shay is another strong willed heroine. She has been lied to to protect her identity and when she finds out those closest to her were the ones lying, she has a hard time coming to terms with it, naturally. It's easy to identify with her and how she wants to prove she isn't a weak female. I love how her and Bree get along and take things into their own hands. The fact that all the guys are walking around in kilts and slaying the vampires and demons doesn't hurt either. I can't wait until the next book comes out!!
Handsome men in kilts ... need I say more??
