Ah, the Guild Hunter Series. By my favorite paranormal romance author. It's hard to describe what is so good about this series. Elena kicks butt. Raphael is a dreamy alpha. The supporting characters are superbly written. Everything just works. Why does this installment get only 4/5 stars? Well, I tend to like my Paranormal Romances to be more like Urban Fantasies. This one was a little too heavy on the PNR. It almost seemed that the story was written around the sex scenes. I need the story to take center stage and, sadly, it didn't here. But it's impossible to give this less than 4 stars. The writing is impeccable, the characters are relatable and it leaves you wanting more.Highly recommended but be prepared for a lot of lovin'. This was a pretty good story. Elena is finally back in NY after being newly Made. Everyone is surprised as they thought she was either dead, or made into a vampire. The plot on this book was a little weak and it felt like a filler story. There is an Ancient waking and all these catastrophes are happening in the weather and with weird murders. The reasoning behind everything, and the actual culprit, just didn't really convince me and had me wishing there was something more to the plot. You do learn more about each of the characters and are even introduced to Illium's mother the Hummingbird. Elena is starting to drive me a little nuts with her constant fear of past events. Even after the events of the last book she didn't find a way to conquer the fear. It appears way to many times throughout this story and got really annoying and old.
What do You think about Engelsblut (2011)?
2.5 stars the plot was good but I felt it was overshadowed by a bit too much sex for my tastes.

Read the entire series in just a few weeks. Loved them all. Wish I had my own Badass Archangel.

Brauch ich noch viel zu sagen, wenn ich 5* vergeben habe? ;)
