The parenting style of the authors/parents is not mine; it's way too over the top for me. If you try follow their plan then you will probably be very stressed out and likely to fail and then feel horrible about yourself as a parent. BUT if you take their principles to heart and apply a few of them in a way that makes sense to you and your family then only good can come from it. Maybe that was their intention. The Eyres have so many great tried and true ideas that will foster great value systems for any family. I loved how the chapters were started by listing what the child would gain and what the parents would gain. A win-win situation. I'm sure that the implementation is easier said than done but if the parents are persistent the values will eventually make their mark. I will certainly be using these ideas and principles when I have little people.
Many great ideas. Now I just have to figure out how to implement them into my daily life!
