I am continually rediscovering books I have already read as Goodreads makes automatic shelf based recommendations! 8-0) This was one of those books I read when I went on a complete romance reading frenzy in 2010-2011 (a book a day). It was also around the time that I discovered some of the newer romance erotic vs historical romance books and writers. While intrigued by this book, I was also disturbed and troubled by the depraved and tortured back stories and shocked with the bi lead male and the multiple sex partners. (I am not ant-gay per see but I also do not especially enjoy reading m/m sex - just doesn't fire my circuits - and the tortured aspect of the two m/m relationship just made me sad as well. I remember the book was reasonably well written (English and grammar) which something rare in many erotic books. Frankly, the most memorable part of the book for me was the first 1/3 - after that I don't gain remember much. My favorite part is how the leading male meets the heroine. I must have liked the book well enough as I finished it, but then again it was not memorable enough to be automatically recalled for me to add to GoodReads ithout prompting ( I would never forget to add 50 Shades for example, LOL) I may go back and recheck now that I am thinking about it but overall can't recommend the book as we all have a stack of to really good to reads and too little time : ) Simply Sexual by Kate Pearce started like an intense and erotic historical romance novel, I liked both Sara & Valentin. I especially liked Valentin's idea with The Red Book he presented to Sara, a book in which they could write their fantasies and fulfill them (if they both were interested). But, sadly, as the plot progressed sexual games between them became more and more debauched & obscene. I would have probably DNF-ed this book at about 50% but I needed it for a challenge so kept on reading. I highly doubt I will ever return to this series.
What do You think about Escravos Do Amor (2011)?
Dreamy, sensual and moody characters but suprisingly complex. Great romance and creativity.

I loved the hint if mystery. Didn't expect the twist in the end. A good read!

Not as good as other books in this series. Glad I didn't start with it.
