Maddie MacFaddin has returned to Ticonderoga Falls, where she and her family once vacationed. Now she's hoping for a little r&r and inspiration in the wake of her crumbling marriage. But Ticonderoga Falls is also a hunting ground for the Darklings, beings who feed on the dreams of humans. The story never really comes to life and the plot doesn't fully come together for my satisfaction, sadly. Interesting and original concept. I won this book through a blog contest =) This was a new kind of paranormal read for me, a little darker setting. I read half the book in one evening because I was so into what was happening and what was going to happen. This book is written in each characters POV so you hop back and forth between them, which I thought was pretty cool. You get to see and feel how they do. I thought the story was great and very unique. I'm sure Merrie's Afterlife series has it's own uniqueness so I will probably give that one a read also. Good paranormal read.
