This book was a fast and okay read for me. It was a short story and kept me interested throughout the book. Master Chase and Master Raul sounds crazy HOT! Sexy Doms in leather??? Don't mind if I do!!! It was not a complicated read and I found myself frustrated on both of their parts and disappointed when they were. Nobody wanted to talk about their feelings and I was just going crazy with all of it. There are some good scenes in this read as well. There are some things that could have been better, but considering that it was a short read it was well spaced. I received this ARC via Net Galley for my honest review. Thanks Net Galley!!! So, I normally cannot stand stories where the whole thing is a back-and-forth "Big Misunderstanding" because the two guys won't just talk to each other (like the men they are). And while that is what's happening here, it also works because they wind each other up constantly by rooming together at a kink convention. "Mixed signals" is definitely a good way to describe them because they're both continually confused by what they see/hear vs. what they think they know of the situation with the other man.The story takes place over the course of a week (though they've known each other for years) and alternates points of view, so we know why each man thinks and acts the way he does, and there are valid reasons for the Big Misunderstanding. The whole story is a hot, tension-driven, incredibly sexy lead up to the two of them figuring out where they really stand with each other. What a ride.And I so want to go to a kink convention now. (I did before, but now...) I love conventions. =)
