Three and a half stars because Mary Calmes can write a hot, sexy love scene with lots of emotion. I was panting. Some of the problems included Davis suddenly wanting Cam after rejecting him for the past twelve years. Cam has loved Davis forever. Now Davis insists they start immediately on forever. Yet Davis makes a comment about what Cam is wearing and unless it was because Cam looked too hot in it (and there was no indication of that) it was a completely uncalled for and insensitive statement. Cam never calls him on it. No manner how much he wanted Davis, Cam should have discussed what this comment really said about their social strata differences. Davis knew Cam was arriving but he was not home to greet Cam, the so called suddenly realized love of his life. He did not come home for over two hours after talking with Cam and he brought home four gay friends who promptly hit on Cam. It seemed that is why Davis brought them to his home but then he gets jealous. Maybe if this was a novella instead of a short story we would have more understanding of Davis. I would enjoy reading more about them. I would like to see if they could overcome the many roadblocks to the two of them actually having a forever. I want to know what happens next. Well, I knew from the titles this is the FIRST day of forever. But still...where's the forever?Okay..okay, I get it, it's very short story...But, hmmm..after so many years of silence and suddenly Davis can't seemed to control his horny ass over Cameron?I get it, Cam loved him for so long, and still can't moved on even after he had a great relationship with someone.And I recall , when Davis invited Cam to his house, he didn't know that Cam broke up with his BF, right?And he's planning it already? Or am I too dumb to understand the dynamic ?I didn't see any good chemistry between the two men, except , they're both horny all the time.Davis is too clingy and Cam is like, an ass-whipped guy over him. Anyway..this is just okay reading, easily to forget, but not bad. Not bad at all.
