This was a nice easy read, with an interesting enough premise, albeit not very original and kinda predictable. It's strange how one minute I think the protagonist is funny and likeable, and then with the awful dialog, the next minute I find her incredible annoying. So the writing was hit and miss. Also, a child is missing and there was no sense of urgency. Kate and Jared were more preoccupied with their budding romance than finding the child. This is the first in a series. Katie goes into a coma when she contracts bacterial meningitus and during the week that she is in the coma she develops psychic powers. She is able to enter people's minds and see their past memories, but she is unable to control when or what she sees. She helped the police find a boy, Matt, so when Cori goes missing Jared, a hunky detective comes to her for help.A quick enjoyable read.
