Not what or who she needed to be visualizing right now. That damn man popped into her brain too often and at the most inopportune times. She had never allowed any man to affect her like Kam Nextor seemed to, and it aggravated the hell out of her. A strange sense of worry rolled through her, all of a sudden. Worry for him. Stupid. Why should she care what happened to him? If she did, her concern would only be because he still might know something about Josella. Wishful thinking perhaps, but she had nowhere else to turn now for information. She’d tried tracking Josella with her orbiter’s computer, but never picked up a full Sunevian signal. Unfortunately, Kam was on Xylon and she was here, which did her no good. Even if she were able to contact him, that didn’t mean she’d ever fully trust him again. Although, maybe good reasons existed for what he’d done on Marid. Given their circumstances, she hadn’t the opportunity to speak with him since that day.
