I thought this book was amazing and wonderful. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure and suspense. This book is about a twelve year old boy that has to take care of a hotel and is in big debt. The former owner of the hotel tells him what to do and he does. Then, it becomes dangerous and him and his brother Remi has to go and find lots of things. That is about it the book is amazing and I hope you like it and happy reading. After having so many less than stellar reads, this book was a relief. I can always count on Patrick Carmen to bring me a wonderful story with vibrant characters.To be honest, I am unsure if I have read the first Floors but that didn't prevent me from enjoying this story. I felt connected to the characters and their tale as if I had just finished the first book.The adventure Leo and Remi go on is a rollercoaster of fun. It has just enough suspense and "terror" to keep the reader on the edge of their seat. I have to say this is a world I would love to live in. The idea of a magical, mystical hotel that offers all sorts of hidden wonders just sounds like a great place to stay for awhile.
Great continuation of the series. My kids ages 11 and 14 loved it. Very fun.
